The KUASAR team, which was established within the IKU IEEE Club, continues its activities to help the visually impaired individuals in their lives. Their ability to return to their social lives has become one of the most important motivations for our students to connect with the project. We congratulate the KUASAR team, which became the finalist of 2021 TEKNOFEST with the K-Rod Smart Walking Stick project, and passed the Preliminary Evaluation Reporting Stage in 2022 TEKNOFEST with the same project and qualified to continue the competition.

Senior Engineer Melike Günay and Application Engineer İlknur Akdemir from FİGES Inc., the Turkey Distributor of MATLAB & Simulink, participated in the “Deep Learning-MATLAB” event, which was held as a hybrid by the Asimov Technology Club on Friday, April 15, 2022, between 14.00-17.30. they joined.

For about four and a half hours, our guests talked about the most common algorithms of Deep Learning and how it works with MATLAB.

A seminar titled “Marketing of the Future” was held by the Effective Communication Club on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, on the CATS platform. Brand Strategist Esra Baykal attended the event as a speaker. Baykal, who gave information on the effects of Metaverse and other developing technologies on marketing communication, the emergence of new professions and how they will contribute to these professions, especially in the field of marketing, organized an interactive seminar by creating a discussion and questioning space for the students.

IKU Red Wings team, one of the finalists of the 2021 TEKNOFEST Fighting UAV Competition, continues to work with great devotion for TEKNOFEST 2022. Our team, which passed the Preliminary Design Report, which is the first and important stage of the competition, with a rating of 82.5/100, achieved another great success. Our team, which puts a lot of effort in the field of aviation and technology, continues to reap the fruits of its work. Our team, which will compete with rival teams in the final, is increasing its claim day by day.

Vestel Education Specialist Samet Aldemir, who attended the event as a speaker, explained the importance of interview techniques to the students.

The Hello World team, which is part of the Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Asimov Technology Club, aims to introduce people and touch their lives by learning the technologies used in the development of digital software and making use of these technologies.

After the "Hygienic Pad Collection Campaign" organized for the benefit of Küçükçekmece Municipality El Ele Yaşam Association within the scope of "8 March International Women's Day" in cooperation with the Turkish Sign Language Choir and Awareness Club, our students participated in the distribution with the municipality employees. In the distribution that continued throughout the day, the parcels prepared were delivered to those in need.

IKU IEEE Club added a new one to its achievements. After the LUPUS Rocket Team, which competed as a finalist in TEKNOFEST 2021, the newly established Astra Rocket Team this year successfully passed the preliminary design report among hundreds of teams. Our team, which continues its preparations with its brand new and dynamic staff, continues to rise to high points with their efforts and willingness to work.

Great progress continues to be made in the rocket, which has started to be built. The upper body of the rocket, which is completely handcrafted, is ready for assembly!

Asimov-X Rocket Team, within the body of Istanbul Kültür University Asimov Technology Club, is a team that aims to design and manufacture rockets, which are the building blocks of today's and future defense industry. In this direction, our team, which participated in the "TEKNOFEST Rocket Competition Medium Altitude" category this year, as it did last year, earned a high score from the "Preliminary Evaluation Report" and qualified to move on to the next stage.

A talk titled "Law from Student to Profession" was held by the International Law Club on Monday, March 28. Attorney Cengiz Yaka, Secretary General of the Istanbul Bar Association, and Attorney Ömeralp Pulatoğlu, Member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Istanbul Bar Association, attended the event as speakers.
