IKU Music Club organized an introductory party at the Kültür College Alumni Association Club for the members to socialize with each other. In the event held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, between 18.00-23.00; Participants had a fun time with karaoke, live music, open mic events and DJ show. IKU Dance Club accompanied the party.
An event titled "Various Memory Disorders and Patient Profiles" was organized by the Psychology Club on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Participating as a speaker at the event, Prof. Dr. Öget Öktem Tanör gave detailed information in the field of neuropsychology and explained how the brain works. The event ended after the students' questions were answered.
As part of the October 29 Republic Day celebrations, IKU Music Club held an "Academic Ceremony Concert" at 10:00 on Thursday, 28 October at the Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. Our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Program, Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. K. Sinan Alçın, our deans, academic-administrative staff and students attended.
Orchestra İKÜ gave a concert in the backyard of Ataköy campus between 16.00-18.00 on Wednesday, October 27th as part of the “October 29 Republic Day” celebrations.
The Leadership and Management Club organized an event titled "LİDERYönetici 2021" in order to enable our students to get ideas by hosting people who have a place in business life at our university. BenzinLitre founder Görkem Ünel, Hepsiburada Supply Chain and Stock Planning Senior Manager Anıl Egehan Algül, LC Waikiki E-Commerce Strategy and Process Development Manager Ahu Yayan and Lufian E-Commerce Director Mustafa Levent Yılmaz attended the event as speakers.
The Healthy Nutrition Club organized an event titled "Sports Nutrition and Sports Dietitian" in order to give students an idea about the subject and to explain sports nutrition. In the event, which was held on the CATS platform on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 18:00, nutritional differences according to the sports performed were mentioned. Afterwards, information was given about supplementary foods and sports dietitian was mentioned for those who are considering becoming a dietitian in this field. The event ended after the question-answer session.
The “Winter School Sports School” Program has started particularly in the Ataköy International Youth Center which is located right at the opposite of the Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Ataköy Campus, and the centres of Bakırköy Youth and Sports District Directorate.
With the collaboration of IKU and Ministry of Youth and Sports Istanbul District Directorate of Youth and Sports, our students, academic staff and their families will benefit from the center for free.
Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) Kültür Point aims to offer a warm welcome to our students who have just joined the IKU family in the 2021-2022 Academic Year, to introduce our university and our staff, who will be their new home throughout their higher education life, and to make their first day at the university inspiring and guiding. ; An Orientation Program was held at our Ataköy campus between 20-23 September 2021.
The Peer Mentoring Program, which started in the 2017-2018 Academic Year with the aim of facilitating the first year students’ experience, contributing to their personal development and helping them gain corporate belonging, continues with the 5th term mentors within the scope of the 2021-2022 Academic Year.
“Basic Mentoring Training” was held on September 1, 2021 with a team of peer mentors consisting of 123 volunteers. 100 candidate mentors participated in the training held over Microsoft TEAMS. The training was given by Mücella Ezgin, Deputy Head of Kültür Point Unit.
IKU IEEE Club has been working under the coordination of Culture Point for about a year to represent our university in the best way possible in the TEKNOFEST 2021 competition. Our students managed to become finalists in all three categories by competing with the teams in the following categories at TEKNOFEST 2021.
