IKU STUDENTS TOURED AROUND ISTANBUL

Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) students toured Istanbul with the "Service Promotion" event organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

The "Service Promotion" trip, which was last held in 2019 and could not be held the last two years due to the pandemic, was held again on Thursday, October 6, 2022. The route of the trip attended by 20 students consisted of Hagia Sophia Mosque, The Blue Mosque, The Hippodrome of İstanbul, Gulhane Park and Basilica Cistern. The trip, in which Miniatürk was also visited, was concluded after lunch. 

"STUDENT CLUBS ORIENTATION DAYS"

"Student Clubs Orientation Days" were organized by the Student Life Career and Alumni Counselling Unit (Kültür Point) in the backyard of Ataköy campus between 28-30 September 2022 for our newly registered students. During the orientation, which lasted for three days, 70 different clubs opened stands, both promoting and recruiting new members. For 3 days, approximately five thousand students became members of clubs that appeal to their interests.

ISTANBUL KÜLTÜR UNİVERSITY 2022-2023 ACADEMIC YEAR GENERAL ORIENTATION PROGRAM

Istanbul Kültür University 2022-2023 Academic Year General Orientation Program was held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 13:00 at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center. The program started with the message of our Rector to our students. Our Rector gave the message that students will feel the privilege of studying and graduating from such a university for the rest of their lives, founded by a foundation that draws its strength and values ​​from a deep-rooted past and has a love of people and country.

"DIGITAL EDUCATION ORIENTATION PROGRAM"

One of the 2022-2023 Academic Year General Orientation Programs, "Digital Education Orientation Program,” in which our newly registered students were introduced to all the digital media and resources they will benefit from during their academic lives at our university and were given training on how to use them, was held by Student Life, Career, and Alumni Advisory Unit (Kültür Point.) 259 new students participated in the first session of the program, which was organized in two sessions (10.30-12.00 and 14.00-15.30) via Adobe Connect platform on Monday, September 19, and 475 participated in

PEER MENTORING TRAINING FROM KÜLTÜR POINT

As a part of the “Peer Mentoring” project carried out by Kültür Point, the students who will serve as volunteer mentors in the 2022-2023 Academic Year were trained by Kültür Point Deputy Head of Unit, Doğa Kurtyiğit. The particulars of the mentoring processes were dwelled upon in the training held over Microsoft Teams on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 17.00. The training, attended by 80 volunteer peer mentors, was concluded after the questions were answered.

TEKNOFEST'22 PRESENTATION SPECIAL AWARD WAS GIVEN TO KUASAR TEAM

Organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and T.R. Ministry of Industry and Technology, TEKNOFEST was held for the fifth time this year as a grand organization with 130 companies participating, including 101 stakeholders and sponsors. The "Technology Competitions" designed to support the projects of thousands of young people working in these fields with the aim of increasing the interest of young people in the production and development of national technology, were organized this year in 40 main competitions and 99 different categories.

ANOTHER ACCOMPLISHMENT FROM THE KUASAR TEAM

The KUASAR Team, which is a member of the IEEE Club and made up of the students of our university participating in the world's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival’s competition in the category of "Barrier-Free Living Technologies" in the Black Sea of ​​TEKNOFEST, which will be held in Samsun between August 30 – September 4, 2022, will participate in the K-ROD Smart Walking Stick Project. They exhibited their work in the final stage of the competition, which was held in Trabzon between 5 -7 August 2022 and passed the jury’s assessment successfully.

KUASAR TEAM IS A FINALIST IN TEKNOFEST

To the competitions partaking in “TEKNOFEST Aerospace and Technology Festival,” which is held under the leadership of Turkish Technology Team Foundation and TR Ministry of Industry and Technology, and with the support of Türkiye’s leading technology companies, public institutions, media organizations and universities, more than 149 thousand teams and more than 500 thousand competitors applied this year.
