“NATIONAL COMPETENCE INITIATIVE STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION MEETING”

The “National Competence Initiative Stakeholder Collaboration Meeting” was held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at the Nation’s Library Conference Hall by the Defense Industry Academy of the Presidency of Defense Industries of the Republic of Türkiye.

Ecem Uçar, Career Specialist from the Dean of Students Office - Kültür Point Unit, participated in the meeting on behalf of Istanbul Kültür University.

“Autumn Breeze on Campus”

Organized annually in collaboration with the Dean of Students Office - Kültür Point and Vizyon Marka, the traditional event “Autumn Breeze on Campus” took place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Istanbul Kültür University’s Bakırköy Campus, Ataköy building.

This year’s event, featuring the participation of 25 brands, attracted great interest from students. Participating brands offered students both fun and engaging experiences through games, raffles, and product showcases.

ISTANBUL KÜLTÜR UNIVERSITY (IKU) 2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR ORIENTATION PROGRAM

The Student Dean's Office of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) organized an "Orientation Program" from September 15-18, 2025, at the Ataköy building of the Bakırköy campus, to provide a warm welcome to the new students joining the IKU family for the 2025-2026 Academic Year, introduce the university and its staff, which will be a part of the students' lives throughout their higher education journey, and make their first days at the university inspiring and guiding.

MENTORING TRAINING COMPLETED AT ISTANBUL KÜLTÜR UNIVERSITY

As part of the Peer Mentoring Project, conducted by the Istanbul Kültür University Dean of Students Office, an online "Mentoring Training" was held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

The training program, delivered by Doğa Kurtyiğit, Vice Dean of Students, and Efe Anğın, Assistant Specialist for Educational Events Planning and Organization, focused on effective communication in mentor–mentee relationships, responsibilities, support mechanisms, and key points to consider when adapting to university life.

One hundred mentor candidates participated in the training.

REAL EXPERIENCE WITH INTERVIEW SIMULATION: STUDENTS PREPARING FOR BUSINESS LIFE

The "Interview Simulation" event was held by the Kültür Point of the Dean of Students Office on Tuesday, April 15th, between 15:00–17:00. Students had the opportunity to experience the interview processes firsthand at the event, which was held with the participation of Human Resources Specialist Tuğçe Kirmanoğlu.

REAL INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE FOR STUDENTS WITH QNB INSURANCE

As part of the “IKU Career Days 2025” organized by the Dean of Students Office Kültür Point, an “Interview Simulation” event was held in cooperation with QNB Insurance on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

The event, which offered a unique experiential opportunity for our students, featured one-on-one interview simulations conducted with 10 selected students by Serkan Arslan, Senior Recruitment Specialist at QNB Insurance. Each student’s CV was evaluated in detail, feedback was provided on the interview process, and suggestions were shared to support their personal development.

Career Days Prepare Students for the Future

Organized by the Dean of Students Office Kültür Point, the Career Days event organized with the aim to prepare students for the professional world under the theme “The Future of Business: People, Technology, and Sustainability” was held on April 16-17 in the backyard of the Ataköy building, Bakırköy Campus. The event welcomed participation from over 30 companies.

“QUESTIONING REALITY”

The IKU Philosophy Club organized an event titled "Questioning Reality" on Monday, March 17, 2025 in the multipurpose hall on the third floor of the Ataköy Building, Bakırköy Campus. The event, held with the participation of Assoc. Prof. Selda Salman Sakızlı, Advisor of the Club and Head of the Department of Common Courses, explored the impact of perceptions, beliefs, and the limitations of knowledge on philosophical foundations.

“FREE SPACE: DISCOVER YOURSELF, SHARE YOUR IDEA”

The Gender Equality Club organized a panel talk titled "Free Space: Discover Yourself, Share Your Idea" to explore challenges related to gender equality and provide a safe space for individuals to express themselves. The event, which presented ideas for addressing current gender equality issues and discussed solutions from different perspectives, was held on Thursday, March 20, at the 3rd floor multipurpose hall of the Ataköy Building, Bakırköy Campus.
