The Department of New Media organized an event titled "User Experience Basics and Career Journey" in cooperation with the Effective Communication Club, on Microsoft Teams on Thursday, May 18, 2023. Vodafone UX Research Lead Ahmet Erşanlı and UX Design Lead Gizem Yetimler attended the event as speakers. In the event, the topics of how to conduct user research to understand the needs and goals of users, the basics of research and how to design according to users based on research were conveyed to the students.

A panel talk titled "Leaving a Mark in the Visual World" was held on the CATS platform on Friday, May 12, 2023, in cooperation with the Effective Communication Club, New Media and Communication Club, the Department of New Media and Communication, and the Department of Communication Arts. In the event, in which Flo Group Senior Graphic Design Specialist Canan Seven was the speaker, the importance of visual design in marketing was articulated and also the factors to be considered while making visual design was touched upon. The event ended after the question-answer session.

Istanbul Kültür University Rugby Team qualified for the quarterfinal by winning 5 out of 6 matches, played in the UNILIG group stages held in Ankara. We congratulate our team and wish them success in the final competitions.

The "Future'23" event was organized by the Industrial Engineering Club in order to support the career planning processes of our students by hosting the leaders of the pioneer brands of their sectors at our university. The CEO of Caffe Nero Ahmet Yanıkoğlu, General Manager of Philips Türkiye Sibel Kara Yıldız, General Manager of Dyson Mete Uslukılınç and the CEO of Axa Sigorta Yavuz Ölken attended the event held on Tuesday, May 2, at Akıngüç Auditorium and Art Center.

In cooperation with the New Media and Communication Club, Effective Communication Club and the Department of New Media and Communication, a panel titled "Journey to the Podcast World" was held on Monday, May 8 on the CATS platform. The event was attended by Assist. Prof. Özge Özkök Şişman, one of our academicians from the Department of New Media and Communication. Our lecturer started the event by talking about the history of podcasts and explained how podcasts can be used to learn and have fun on various topics.

In cooperation with Effective Communication Club, New Media and Communication Club, Department of New Media and Communication and Department of Communication Arts, a seminar titled "A Realistic Look at the Metaverse" was organized on Thursday, 4 May 2023 at Ataköy Campus, 1st floor multipurpose hall. HAVAS Istanbul CEO Dr. Cüneyt Devrim attended the event as a speaker. Conveying information about the Metaverse universe and the course of this universe, Devrim also touched on the definition of “ownership” in the Metaverse universe.

An event titled "Social Commerce 101: Ways to Develop E-Commerce Mindset" was held on the CATS platform on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, in cooperation with the Effective Communication Club, New Media and Communication Club, Department of New Media and Department of Communication and Communication Arts.  TRUF Communication Founder Cahit Cihat Yıldırım attended the event as the speaker.  Conveying his experiences in the sector and the importance of e-commerce today, Yıldırım also touched upon the tips and e-commerce data that should be known to succeed in e-commerce.  The event ended

A conference titled “Having a Presence on Social Media” was held on the CATS platform on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, by the joint efforts of the Effective Communication Club, New Media and Communication Club, The Department of New Media and Communication and The Department of Communication Arts.   Revolvia Agency the Head of Social Media Group İrem Yavuz attended the event as the speaker, telling their experiences in the sector and the importance of social media marketing, and stating that brands should have a presence on social media platforms in order to continue existing. 

An event titled  "SEO Training" was organized by the Leadership and Management Club on March 24, 2023 at 20.30 via Google Meet.  Groupama Insurance and Pension Digital Marketing Specialist Sedat Akdemir attended the event as the speaker.  In the training event topics such as what SEO is and what intricaces  should be taken into account while advertising were explained in great detail.

A seminar titled "Digitalizing Customer, Digitalizing Brands" was held on the CATS platform on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in cooperation with the Effective Communication Club, New Media and Communication Club, Department of New Media and Communication and Department of Communication Arts. Hammer Jack E-Commerce Director M. Levent Elmas, who attended the event as the speaker, conveyed his experiences in the sector and the processes of digitalized brands to the students. Elmas also touched upon the mistakes of brands that cannot go digital as well as the mistakes of digitalized brands.
