The Mathematics-Computer Club organized an "Alumni Panel" on Monday, November 6 at the Önder Öztunalı Conference Hall in the Ataköy building of Bakırköy campus. Six of our alumni, who are experts in their fields, shared their experiences with our students at the event. The panel ended after the question-and-answer session.
A "Greeting Party" was organized by the Interior Architecture and Design Club in the backyard of the Bakırköy campus Ataköy building on Friday, 3rd of November . At the event, which was held with active participation, the club was introduced and refreshments were served. After the introduction and networking processes, the party ended.
Bilal Boğa, Founder of Walther Kranz Communication Agency, gave the fourth lecture of the "Digital Communication Academy Young Communicators School", organized in cooperation with Kültür Point and the Department of New Media and Communication, with the topic "Crisis Management in Digital Communication.” After the case analysis, which included comprehensive and long-term discussions, the studies were presented, and the training was completed.
"Marketing Summit" was held on 7-8 November in cooperation with the Effective Communication Club and the Department of Communication Arts. At the summit, which was supported by different clubs, the Rock and Culture Club gave a concert at the opening of the first day. In the first session of the summit, Tat Gıda's Marketing Director Didem Evgülü presented "From a Traditional Brand to an Innovative Brand" to the students.
Istanbul Kültür University (İKÜ) Industrial Engineering Department and Fashion Design Program students organized a technical trip to FLO Shoes under the leadership of Kültür point Graduate Relations Coordinator. During the trip that was held on Friday, 3rd of November, our students visited FLO, a shoe store chain, and had the opportunity to closely examine the operation of the company. Our students visited FLO's head office and retail stores and learned about the functioning of the shoe industry.
Our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Gülce Öğrüç Ildız met with our student club presidents at Kültür College Alumni Lounge on Monday, 6th of November. Kültür Point Unit Head Assist. Prof. Neslihan Fatma Er made the opening ceremony and during the presentations of our club presidents, İKÜ Sports Coordinator Dr. İsmail Çakıt announced the graduation of EUSA. Then plaques were presented to those who contributed to the podcast project titled "To us, 100th anniversary of the republic".
Lecturer Dr. Esin Akalın, who has been teaching "Literature and Mythology", "Readings in Milton", "Topics and Trends in Enlightenment Literature" courses at IKU Department of English Language and Literature since 2001, gifted her book "Istanbul in my suitcase, Toronto in my kismet (Valizimde İstanbul Kısmetimde Toronto)" to our Chairperson of the Board of Trustees Dr. Bahar Akıngüç Günver, our Rector Prof. Dr. Fadime Üney Yüksektepe, our Head of Corporate Communications Department Nilgün Eryeşil and our Alumni Relations Manager Ali Kaplanoğlu.
Doğa Kurtyiğit, Vice President of Student Life, Career and Alumni Counselling Unit, participated in the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility Program at Saint Joseph University in Lebanon between 3-7 July 2023.
The "4th Alumni Relations Workshop" with the theme of "Youth Employment, Strong Alumni Relations, and Sustainable Relationship" was held in cooperation with Kültür Point and Design Factory, in partnership with U2C (University to Career). Managers, coordinators, and experts working in career centers and alumni relations units of many foundation-public universities attended the workshop held by IKU on Friday, June 23.
