Closing of the "IKU Graduate Mentoring Program" carried out by the Student Life, Career and Alumni Counseling Unit (Kültür Point) of Istanbul Kültür University (IKU) in the 2021-2022 Academic Year, on Monday, June 20, at 20.00 via Microsoft Teams was done online. At the end of the program, which was completed with 16 mentors and 16 mentees, participation certificates were presented to the participants.

KUASAR Team, one of the IKU IEEE Club teams, deserved to be a finalist in the TEKNOFEST'22 "Technology for the Benefit of Humanity" classification with the "K-Rod Smart Walking Stick" project, which aims to minimize the problems experienced by visually impaired individuals in their daily lives and to enable these individuals to return to their social lives, by passing all report stages.

We wish success to our team, which is also a TEKNOFEST'21 finalist, in the final process.

Attracting attention among the Asimov Technology Club projects that were showcased on "10 May Engineers' Day", IKU Autonom is appearing for the first time this year in the Robotaxi-Full Scale Autonomous Vehicle Competition. Our team, which completed the first reporting stage as the fifth, is competing for the rank. Our team, which can solve mechanical parts quickly, also shows great success in electrical and software parts.

Doğa Kurtyiğit, Vice President of Student Life, Career and Alumni Counseling Unit, participated in the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Activity Program at the International Institute for Higher Education in Morocco (IIHEM) University in Morocco between 30 May and 3 June 2022.

Kurtyiğit, who presented her work as Professional Career Coordinator, Student Life and Clubs Coordinator and Alumni Relations Development Coordinator in the presentation she made for the program, informed the students about their career development after graduation and answered their questions.

Istanbul Kültür University Asimov Technology Club participated in the WIN EURASIA fair hosted by Istanbul Expo Center between 8-11 June.  Platinum Sponsor of Asimov Technology Club (100.000-150.000 TL) to Smella Kozmetik, organizer of the fair Hannover Fairs Turkey A.Ş. with the offer from our club, a 24 square meter stand was provided. At the exposition where companies such as Vodafone, Nokia, MITSUBISHI ELECTRICS and OMRON also took part, our club started to exhibit its projects in the same hall.

IEEE IKU Club achieved another success with the IEEE Universe team wining the Metaverse competition held on May 16-17! Astra Rocket Team, which was established this year with its robust team members after the great success of the LUPUS Rocket Team, a finalist in TEKNOFEST 2021, is preparing to make its mark on TEKNOFEST 2022!

Asimov Technology Club continues to grow rapidly, even though only one and a half year has passed since its establishment. The teams of our club, which exhibited Rocket, Electric and Autonomous Car and UAV projects as part of "10 May Engineer’s Day", are preparing for TEKNOFEST 2022 without a break.

IKU Sign Language Choir attended the “19 May Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day” ceremony organized by Bakırköy City Council. In the ceremony that started with a wreath laying in Bakırköy Cumhuriyet Square on Thursday, May 19, the National Anthem was sung by IKU Sign Language Choir students. The students also performed solo, duet and choir performances at the event where musical groups also took the stage.

In cooperation with the Student Life, Career and Alumni Advisory Unit (Kültür Point) and Orchestra IKU, the event “IKU YOUTH FEST’22” dedicated to the “May 19 the Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, and the 25th anniversary of the foundation of our university, was held on May 17-18, 2022, in the backyard of Ataköy Campus.
