Istanbul Kültür University produces graduates at bachelor, graduate and associate levels who are aware of contemporary technologies and equipped with the knowledge and experience to respond to the requirements of production, implementation and management fields, and who can work in the international business sector and have professional ethics, teamwork skills and a spirit of entrepreneurship.
Istanbul Kültür University initiated its educational acivities in 1997-1998 academic year with 157 students and 32 academic staff members in three departments, namely the Faculty of Science and Letters (Department of Mathematics-Computing), the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences (Department of Business Administration), and the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (Departments of Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering) and at Vocational Schools of Business Administration and Technical Sciences in the fields of Business Administration and Computer Programming.
Our university celebrated its twentieth anniversary on July 15, 2017. Until then, it produced graduates from 33 undergraduate programs from the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science and Letters, Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Arts and Design, Faculty of Architecture and Faculty of Education; and from 23 associate degree programs from the Vocational School of Justice, Vocational School of Business Administration and Vocational School of Technical Sciences. The Faculty of Health Sciences commenced education in 2017-2018 academic year with the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation and the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. Our university produces graduates from doctorate and master's degree programs from 14 departments within the body of Institutes of Social Sciences and Natural and Applied Sciences. Istanbul Kültür University has integrated a total of 16,810 graduates into society and has trained specialist individuals in their fields since 2001.
Our gradutes, stepping into the business world with the prestigious identity of Istanbul Kültür University, serve in Turkey and all over the world as professionals who are respectful of science, technology, society and human rights and have an awareness of professional ethics.
Istanbul Kültür University sustains its relations with its graduates under the umbrella of the Student Life, Career and Alumni Counseling Unit (ÖYKMDB). Kültür Point, which is engaged in updating alumni data, maintaining communication with alumni and improving their career opportunities, contributes to the creation and improvement of the alumni network of Istanbul Kültür University.
IKU Alumni Association (IKUMED) began its works in 2012 with the mission of "contributing to the social, cultural, sports, professional and scientific experiences of our graduates, increasing solidarity and cooperation among its members, providing employment opportunities, dealing with and finding solutions to the problems of members and students, and, in short, performing activities that make the members feel they are part of the IKU family and that will sustain this feeling for life".
IKUMED contributes to this family bond by offering various programs and services, such as IKUMED Magazine, cultural trips and art events, as well as the alumni network.
