The second of the "Academy of Sustainable Post-Disaster Sustainable Life", which was planned by the Student Life, Career and Alumni Advisory Unit (Kültür Point) with the theme of raising awareness for and after the disaster, with the title of "Earthquakes and Disaster Education in Türkiye", was held on Tuesday, April 4th, at 15.00 via Microsoft Teams. Kandilli Observatory and DAE Regional Earthquake and Tsunami Monitoring and Evaluation Centre Director Geophysical Eng. Assoc. Prof. Doğan Kalafat, who attended the event as the speaker, discussed the earthquake from different ground and structural perspectives. Emphasizing the global deaths caused by natural disasters, the risks and danger of earthquakes, Assoc. Prof. Doğan Kalafat explained in detail the precautions to be taken before the earthquake and what to do in the event of an earthquake and gave disaster training to the participants. The seminar ended after the questions of the participants were answered.
